I don’t get it
It’s 2012 and whenever I watch a tv show or a movie there are still stigmas attached to women who are not married by a certain age. What’s so wrong about a woman not wanting to get married? And can you blame people? Half of marriages end in divorce. Divorce seems like a such a traumatizing event…and yet people approach the decision of marriage so lightly.
How am I expected to want to get married when other movies and tv shows have that (you know who I mean! think about it) comic relief couple, including the husband who is whipped by his wife and tells the main male lead not to get married because it ruins everything. And then there’s his wife who drinks a bottle of wine everyday and complains about her asshole children. It’s awful and it sends horrible messages about marriage and family life.
And it confuses/scares the living shit out of me.
Single people want to be married and married people want to be single.
